It is situated at an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and also in the vicinity of Hawick, Jedburgh and the historic town of Selkirk. Guests can indulge in river fishing (a permit is required) or other sports, mountain biking trails, golf courses and riding centres being available in the area. There are also numerous museums and historical attractions to visit, including medieval castles.

    As an original feature of the property, it comprises a log fire, two bags of logs being included in the rent, along with the oil fired heating and electricity. The lawned garden is enclosed and comprises a patio area as well as a bench. Moreover, parking is available for two vehicles. Everything guests might need in terms of household appliances is provided, including a washing machine, iron and ironing board. With regards to entertainment, aside from the standard television set and DVD player, plus a radio/CD player, guests also have access to a range of books and games.

  • This property is one of the handful of cottages located on the grounds of Arniston House, which brings about not only great exploring opportunities but also various advantages the owners offer. A number of activities can be arranged on their grounds, such as private house tours, guided walks, clay shooting and trout fishing. Amenities such as shops, eating venues and pubs are within easy reach, and so is the city of Edinburgh, situated only eleven miles away. Historical vestiges, museums and biking trails are all available in the area.

    This traditional cottage encompasses a wood burning stove and fire, fuel for it being included in the rent. The outdoor area offers the use of private parking and a garden bench, plus the liberty of roaming freely through the Arniston House grounds.
