  • Located very close to the renowned village of Tintangel, this cottage has hundreds of years behind it, as it dates from the seventeenth century. Aside from the multitude of historical attractions in the area, including castles and ancient churches, you can also visit the famous Eden Project, which helps you become acquainted with the world’s impressive botanical diversity. The region is suitable for indulging in a number of sports, the predominant local one being fly fishing.

    Although the dog friendly accommodation has undergone a complex renovation process, it still maintains many of its original features, its architecture being complemented by the partially antique furnishing. Its beamed ceilings and wood burning fire are particularly charming – one can acquire logs locally at an accessible price. Electricity and heating are provided at a fixed price and in spite of its medieval traits, the dog friendly cottge is equipped with modern kitchen as well as home entertainment appliances. As a family friendly cottage, it offers the use of a highchair and allows bringing a pet.   • As one might deduce from its name, River Cottage is situated on a riverbank, namely that of river Piddle, which it grants unrestrained access to from its garden. Close to endeared tourist destinations such as Salisbury, Bournemouth and Weymouth and also just five miles from Dorchester, where you can find a multitude of facilities. There are good quality eating venues well as touristic attractions in the immediate vicinity of the cottage – as a bonus for staying there, complementary passes are provided for visiting Athelhampton House and Gardens. The many picturesque villages in the surrounding area are a delight to cycle through.

    The cottage dating from the 15th century is fitted with a complex array of services and appliances, electricity and central heating being included in the price. The sitting room is embellished by a wood burner effect electric fire, which creates a romantic atmosphere. The area is rich in natural, historical and cultural attractions and a true joy to explore on foot. The Eden Project, situated nearby, promises a great day out as well as a substantial learning experience; other botanical gardens are available in the vicinity as well. Museums, monuments, castles and cathedrals can also be found in abundance, whilst sailing off the coast provides photographers with excellent panoramic views.

    With a few services incorporated in the price, such as electricity, linen and gas central heating, the cottage is very well equipped in all areas (the kitchen is fitted with a microwave and a laundry service is available as well).   • Dating from the early 18th century, this construction offers both comfort and character, set on vast enchanting grounds visitors are free to roam, where a variety of wildlife can be observed. It is situated in close proximity of Exmoor National Park, as well as Minehead. Coastal walks the area and exploration of nearby harbours is highly enjoyable, as well as sports such as cycling or artistic activities such as photography. Historic vestiges such as Dunster Castle are also plentiful in the region.

    Sally’s Cottage has everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable, logs are available locally for a small price, so get the fire blazing if the evening cools unexpectedly, it’s an atmosphere you’ll wish you could take home with you – although there is central heating throughout if you don’t fancy an open fire.   • The old Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey is home to Keepers Cottage, a holiday home large enough for four people and two pets. Although the owners specify that the cottage is not suitable for the infirm – due to the steep stair cases – it would be ideal for two couples or a family wanting to get away to the coast for a vacation.

    Traditional fishermen’s cottages, inns and restaurants bring in the tourists to Mevagissey throughout the year, the quaint narrow streets really give the harbour town an historic feel, there’s so much to discover. Coastal walks are a must as the pristine beaches and spectacular views are well worth a look, and cycle trails are always popular – the Pentewan cycle trail is about two miles away from the village. If guests don’t want to work too hard on holiday, there are plenty of shops and pubs to relax in, as close as a hundred yards away from the cottage.

    The cosy surroundings at Keeper Cottage would make anyone feel at home, it has a sitting room with dining area, double room and shower room on the first floor, and a twin room in the loft – which has sloped ceilings as many of the fishing cottages do. There is also a small patio with furniture, so you can relax outside and take in the sea air.   • The two bedroom Coach House is set in the six acre grounds of Penmorvah Manor, its beautiful courtyard layout is due to the building being a stable conversion. The location is perfect for families, its secluded courtyard includes a play area (and patio for mum and dad), and any attractions are only a short journey away. Whilst pets are allowed, the Coach House maintains a no smoking policy throughout its properties.
    The Coach House is big enough to sleep four people, and has facilities to accommodate up to two pets.

    Nearby Falmouth is a harbour town with all the seaside attractions, including the Swanpool and Maenporth beaches, a fantastic variety of restaurants, and a great maritime museum. A ferryboat ride or a coastal walk is a wonderful way to explore the surrounding area and the subtropical Glendurgan gardens are only a short walk away. Closer to base, the nearest village pub is only one mile away, and shops in Falmouth are around 2.5 miles.

    At the Coach House itself, the spacious accommodation has everything you could want, with many more amenities besides. A maximum of two dogs is allowed, although it’s specified that they be well trained as there are livestock living on the land.

    Two miles from the nearest shops, Hams Cottage is ideally situated for guests who enjoy a wide variety of pastimes.
