The area it is set in is abundant in distinctive flora and fauna, which makes it ideal for nature observation such as bird watching. Offshore boat trips are also popular and provide the chance to spot a number of animals in their marine environment, such as dolphins and seals. Other frequent activities include golf, pony trekking, riding, dry skiing and fishing.

    The cottage comprises a furnished patio area with a barbecue, offers the use of a parking space and also grants access to a nearby stream. Its ceilings are beamed, conserving their original architecture, and the sitting room is complemented by a wood burner (fuel is available locally and the first supply is free of charge). Its surroundings are suitable for a multitude of activities (besides fishing), such as walking, cycling, riding, pony trekking and golf. Newton and Llanidloes are in the immediate vicinity, whilst if you head for the coast, you will reach the endeared tourist destinations of Snowdonia National Park northwards and Aberystwyth southwards.

    The cottage itself is fitted with modern furniture and appliances, combined with its classic features, such as the wood burning stove in the sitting room (fuel is available locally). For more affordability, both the heating and electricity are included in the rent. Guests can make use of a parking space as well as a fully enclosed and furnished garden with a barbecue. There is also access to an unfenced pond. The cottage encompasses a conservatory, a hot tub as well as a games room where guests can indulge in table tennis, darts and pool.     The location is ideal for peace and quiet and exploring natural beauty on foot, however if you fancy something a little different, only a short drive away is the Royal Welsh Showground, the Red Kite feeding station at Rhayader Gower’s sublime beaches. If you have kids in tow and they want something a little more adrenaline-filled, there are also plenty of opportunities nearby for pony-trekking, canoeing and fishing to name but a few.

    In terms of the cottage itself however, it is extremely impressive on the outside and is very traditional in appearance.
